SmartPrint was upgraded on
August 7, 2008. If you installed
SmartPrint prior to this date, it will be necessary
for you to
install the new software before printing on
campus. Follow the instructions below to
install the software yourself:
Self-installation of
SmartPrint
To begin installation of the new SmartPrint
software, click 'Install SmartPrint Now' and
follow the prompts.
A high-speed connection is recommended.
Dial-up connections could take 30-45 minutes.

Installation Overview:
After clicking the 'Install SmartPrint now', you will see the following pop-up box:

Click 'Run'
If you receive the security warning
below, acknowledge it by clicking 'Run'

Click 'Install' when you receive the
following box:

Wait while the installation process completes.
When 'Install Finished successfully' is
displayed in the Installer window below, click 'Finish'
 Congratulations! You are now
ready to print with SmartPrint.
The new SmartPrint queues
are:

SmartPrintBW2008
-
SmartPrintColor2008
Print jobs sent to SmartPrintBW2008
can be released to print at any black & white release
station on campus. Print jobs sent to
SmartPrintColor2008 can only be released to print at
the color printer adjacent to the LakerCard Center.

If you have problems with the SmartPrint
installation process, please contact The HUB by phone at

Counter in the University Center. For assistance
queuing or releasing a document to print, visit The
LakerCard Center or Software Support (lower level of the
Library).
